I was no yoga expert prior to the training and she made it easy for me to understand and apply in my classroom.

At the beginning of this school year, I was fortunate enough to take the ‘Teaching Kids Yoga’ course with Liz. The course provided me with a valuable tool to use in the classroom daily with my students and I would highly recommend it to all teachers! After the training, I was immediately able to implement: breathing techniques, poses/flow sequences as well as mindful moments. Liz provided us with multiple resources and activities to support in-school implementation. I was no yoga expert prior to the training and she made it easy for me to understand and apply in my classroom. We now begin and end our day with yoga and use it for breaks during extended learning blocks. Using yoga in the classroom has not only improved student focus, engagement and motivation but also self-awareness. As a result, the students began using yoga at home, teaching their siblings and parents. One of the most powerful things I have noticed is that the students are recommending places in the day that they would benefit from a yoga break and are able to verbalize why as well as how it would help them (different breathing techniques and sequences have different results for the body). In addition, I was able to provide PD for the other teachers in our building and many are now inspired to take the course themselves.I can not wait to continue my learning with Liz as she offers more classes. If you are considering taking the course, do it! 🙂

Meet Liz

I'm passionate about your kids .

I have a passion for working with kids. They’re the key to our entire future. I work with children and teens individually, in group settings, family settings, schools and daycares throughout the Hudson Valley. Teaching Kids has allowed me to keep my adult classes lighthearted with a carefree, yet challenging and strong approach. My goal is to teach students, of all ages, how to weave both the mind and body together by digging deep to find their own strength, peace and balance.

I live in the Hudson Valley with my husband and am a bonus mom to two kids, who are absolutely amazing, and our cat, Patches. I have a love for coffee like no other, a weakness for french fries and an obsession with Patches. She even has an Instagram! In my free time, I love to kick back and relax with the kids, read a good book, spend time with friends and family, explore restaurants and local businesses and I can always find time for a nap!

All of our classes are currently being held online. Each class is virtual and interactive so that our kids can stay connected while playing yoga!
